Move In Move Out Feature

The goal of this feature enhancement was to limit the amount of move in move out failures that our installers received. Below are three main issues we wanted to address

Workshop Considerations

I conducted a design/feature workshop with our PM, installers and engineers to understand constraints and goals. 

MIMO Technical Flow

One of the challenges was understanding exactly what were the errors we were encountering and determine if they were breaking errors or could be fixed by our installers. Below is our user flow we made after a workshop with our engineering team and installers.

UI Design

After I gathered the technical information I decided to propose adding the devices to the top of the move in details page to show the state of the device and allow the installer the chance to address the hardware issue.

Final Design (Deployed)

Working within our design system I combined are card component with our label component to address all possible scenarios while communicating to the installer what the issue was and how they could address it.

Results

Overall the feature improvement was a success, reducing user error rates by 95% through clear messaging and targeted redesign.
